"Anawim Lay Missions Foundation, Inc. is a small facility for poor and abandoned elderly people in Rizal Province, Philippines, founded by Catholic lay preacher Bo Sanchez. Its purpose is to provide a home to those poor and abandoned elderly who have been rejected by their families and have nowhere else to go.

This concert will be for the benefit of Anawim Lay Missions Foundation, home for the abandoned elderly.

"About 5 years ago, newlyweds, Ogie and Regine Alcasid decided to go on a journey.

They embarked on a quest to get to know God through a weekly small group led by Bernard Marquez.

Friends were invited on this trip including Liza Martinez. More friends hopped on like Jaya, Sushi Reyes and Archie Castillo. Through weekly get-togethers they read the word and grew in their walk with Christ. Realizing that these friends loved music just as they loved God, Regine broached the idea of putting together a band dedicated to play praise and worship music.

Everyone was on board. More singers and musicians hopped on with the same mission -- Marnie Jereza, Manolo Tanquilut, Eugene Cailao, Zebedee Zuniga, Criss Beunviaje, Jem Florendo, Soc Mina, Michael Alba, JunJun Regalado and Nikko Rivera. Thus, was born, 1 Walker. For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV).

Why 1 Walker? It is the address of where this journey began.
